PIANIST Peter Donohoe makes the second of three appearances this season at the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall, University of York, on Wednesday.
Each of his recitals is based around one of the last great piano sonatas of Beethoven, this one featuring the Sonata in A minor Opus 110.
Brahms's Third Sonata and works by Schumann and Berg will be played too in a 7.30pm programme preceded by Donohoe's pre-concert talk about the music at 6.30pm (admission free to ticket holders).
