ONE NIGHT ONLY'S two nights only in York next month have sold out as the Helmsley five-piece prepare for their first chart hit this weekend.
After the stampede for tickets for their March 1 date at Fibbers, a second show was added for the next night and once more tickets flew out of the door.
Midweek sales for their second single, Just For Tonight, project a chart entry at number five on Sunday. If this prediction proves correct, One Night Only will achieve the highest chart placing for a North Yorkshire band, surpassing Shed Seven's Going For Gold, which peaked at number eight in March, 1996.
A second piece of North Yorkshire pop history could be made on Sunday: if, as expected, Elliot Minor break into the Top 40 with Still Figuring It, the county will have two bands in the singles chart simultaneously for the first time.
