AFTER 25 years in the music business Alison Moyet still has class.
She stepped on to the stage in her signature colour, black, and the vibe from the crowd was incredible.
With her rare and stunning voice, she kicked things off with the funky sounds of Footsteps and the audience were definitely in for a treat.
In between songs she exchanged witty banter with the audience – an ordinary woman with an extraordinary talent.
Belting out classics she included songs from The Turn, her much acclaimed album.
Hearts melted at the sound of Yazoo’s love song, Only You, showcasing Moyet’s spectacular vocal to perfection.
The Windmills Of Your Mind displayed a complete feel of passion and brought a tear to the eye, while Weak In The Presence was performed with a beautiful smile.
Her special guests included Alex Cornish and accompanying pianist.
Cornish, a musician who has gone from the office to the stage, carried a breathtaking acoustic sound and a crystal clear vocal. His songs told tales of lovers, past and present, and the revealing story of the girlfriend who cheated.
But it is Moyet who captivated the audience with exceptional stage presence. She is amazing, unique and just plain wonderful.
