JAZZ punk experimentalists Acoustic Ladyland play Fibbers, in York, on Tuesday evening, with support from Alvin Purple, Digital Earth and Hot Fudge.

Fusing distorted melodies with sneering punk bass and distorted keyboards in wordless songs about paranoia, anger, heroism and dogs, these ferocious London and Hastings musicians have the improvisational freedom to play as far out as they wish, without either losing themselves or those listening.

On Tuesday, saxophonist Pete Wareham, drummer Seb Rochford and their collective will be ripping into slices of juicy minimalist jazz off their latest rampant album Living With A Tiger and The Mighty Q EP.

Tickets cost £7.50 in advance on 0844 847 2424 or £9 on the door.
