YORK band Elliot Minor open their Satellite Tour with a home-city show on Monday at Fibbers, the first of five dates that take them onwards to the London Relentless Garage on Tuesday.
Further dates follow at the Birmingham 02 Academy on Wednesday, The Garage in Glasgow next Friday and Manchester Club Academy next Saturday.
Alex Davies and co have followed up last year’s second album, Solaris, with the February 21 release of the title track on iTunes. A re-worked version of Solaris, incidentally, was used for the BBC’s television coverage of the Winter Olympics.
Elliot Minor’s hybrid of emo, pop-punk and indie, with its upbeat guitar riffs, boy-band harmonies and honky-tonk piano, is expected to draw a full house. Tickets cost £10 on 0844 847 2424 or in person from Fibbers.
Elliot Minor, The Satellite Tour, Fibbers, York, Monday, 7.30pm.
