• You Set The Scene, the Sunday afternoon DJ sessions at The Habit in York, will host a Summer BBQ Party on June 6, from 2pm to 6pm.
Two special guest DJs, Shed Seven’s Alan Leach and Love’s Rusty Squeezebox, will join resident DJs Mike Harrison and Dan Guest at the Goodramgate café bar to play the best 1960s and Sixties-influenced pop, psychedelia, garage and girl groups.
Live music at 3.30pm by Sam Forrest, of Nine Black Alps and The Sorry Kisses, will add to the party atmosphere, as will a barbecue upstairs on the patio.
“Tell all of your friends to come down and check it out,” says Mike Harrison. “It’s free and you can bring the family.”
You Set The Scene will continue at The Habit on the first Sunday of each month. Visit myspace.com/yousetthesceneyork and habit-york.co.uk for more details.
