AFTER being on the road with Papa Roach, Heavens Basement are back in York, kicking off their Unbreakable tour.
Following lead vocalist Richie Heavanz’s decision to leave the band earlier this year, they called on friend Johnny Fallen, from York band The Fallen, as a temporary replacement.
Shirtless and coiffed to the sky, the band get down and dirty, wearing their influences on bare arms – there’s a touch of Black Sabbath, a smidgen of Motley Crüe and more than a healthy portion of Axl Rose – as they combine snarling lyrics with melting solos and pure attitude.
Support comes from fellow rockers The Fallen and Frantic Alice, both influenced by glam rock and heavy metal. Tickets: £8.50 on 0844 847 2424 or £10 on the door.
