Pianist Richard Casey will perform his York Late Music recital on the newly acquired Yamaha C5 grand piano at the Unitarian Chapel, St Saviourgate, York, tomorrow.
The 7.30pm concert will explore music by composers based in Manchester and York, plus two works by John Adams, China Gates and American Berserk, and the world premiere of York sixth-form student Joe Howard’s new composition, Kaleidoscope.
Featured composers will include Richard Whalley, Camden Reeves, Michael Parkin, Anthony Gilbert, Martin Scheuregger, Harrison Birtwistle and Lat Music concert administrator Steve Crowther.
Michael Parkin will give a pre-concert talk at 6.45pm.
