LEGENDARY blues performer John Mayall will perform at the newly-refurbished York Barbican in November.
The artist, known as the Godfather Of British Blues, and best known for his band the John Mayall Bluesbreakers, will play only 25 dates across the UK this year. Mayall has worked with artists including Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Mick Fleetwood, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy and T Bone Walker, and has been performing for more than 50 years.
British guitarist Oli Brown, who will be appearing at the Glastonbury festival this summer, will support the tour.
Tickets for the gig, on November 16, are on sale now, and cost from £24 and are available from yorkbarbican.co.uk or by phoning 0844 8542757.
The Barbican reopened this week following a £2 million refurbishment.
