PAOLO Nutini plays York Barbican this evening as one of three warm-up dates for his headline appearance at the RockNess festival in Scotland later this month and it is not too late to acquire tickets.
Surprisingly, a limited number are still available – both for standing and seated – according to the Barbican website.
Last year, the multi million-selling Scottish soul singer won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Album for his 2009 release, Sunny Side Up, and the Best Male accolade in the Q Music Awards.
Tonight, he will combine songs from 2006 debut album These Streets and Sunny Side Up with “a few very special surprises too”.
Both albums have sold five million copies worldwide, making Nutini the biggest-selling British male artist of 2009 and 2010.
Last night, the Paisley singer-songwriter performed at the King George’s Hall, Blackburn, and tomorrow he plays Sunderland Empire, before festival headline slots at Rockness on June 12 and Latitude on July 16.
