ROCK’N’ROLL combo The Flying Saucers play the Huntington Working Men’s Club, North Moor Road, Huntington,York, tomorrow night.
“The band are making a welcome return to York after an absence of three years,” said York Rock’n’Roll organiser Dave Williamson. “Formed in 1974, they were a major part of the rock’n’roll revival in the late 1970s, with one of their early albums, The Planet Of The Drapes, becoming a much sought-after and rare record.
“They’ve also toured all over Europe, Australia and America and appeared in the film Buddy’s Song with The Who’s Roger Daltrey”
Tomorrow’s event also features DJ Edwardian Al and runs from 7.30pm to midnight. Tickets will be available on the door.
