THE Last Friday Lunchtime Concert Series welcomes Helen Drewery to the Unitarian Chapel, St Saviourgate, York, tomorrow afternoon for an hour-long piano recital.
Helen is playing music by Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, Faure and Beethoven at 12.30pm and tickets (£5, concessions £3) and programmes are available on the door.
Helen read music at Hull University before furthering her studies in solo piano performance to postgraduate level at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.
Since leaving Cardiff, she has established a private piano-teaching practice in the Pocklington area and regularly works as an accompanist for instrumental examinations, diplomas and university student recitals.
Myrna Michell, organiser of the Last Fridays series, says: “Helen's pianism is a joy to listen to; she just lives her music.”
