NEXT week’s concerts by Will Young and Plan B at Dalby Forest have both sold out.
Indeed the Forestry Commission says the open-air gigs by Young next Friday and Plan B’s Ben Drew next Saturday have been oversubscribed.
A combined total of 10,000 music fans will be heading to the woodlands near Pickering: a big boost for the environment because money raised from the Forestry Commission Live Music shows will help care for woodlands in Yorkshire and the Tees Valley.
Organiser Tanya Rex says: “Despite the economic climate, fans are flocking once again to this unique venue to see world-class music. It will be a great weekend.”
Dalby Forest will be closed to the general public both days from 4pm. Arena gates open for the concerts at 6pm; extensive bar and catering facilities will be provided, along with free car parking. Bring outdoor clothing and a torch. No glass, cans, umbrellas, tables, tents or gazebos are permitted. A one-way system will operate for traffic in the forest.
