RITCHIE Blackmore and Candice Night’s band of minstrels, Blackmore’s Night, are to release a live DVD and CD recorded in York at their Grand Opera House concert on September 30 last year.
A Knight In York will be available through UDR/EMI in several formats from Monday: as a DVD/CD digipak deluxe edition; CD jewel case; DVD; Blu-Ray; double vinyl; and limited-edition Fan Package, for which more details can be found at udr-music.com.
You can check out a track from the DVD on youtube for a taster of the York show, where former Deep Purple and Rainbow guitarist Blackmore led his minstrels on a musical journey through the ages, playing electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin, mandola and hurdy-gurdy.
Candice, by the way, will release her debut solo album, Reflections, on the same July day.
