IN a late change to the line-up for the DV8Fest in York, drummer Martell James’s “bad back” has forced Honeytone Cody to drop out of Sunday’s bill at The Duchess.
They will be replaced by Partly Faithful on a day when March Violets will be the headline act there, Modulate will be the headliners at Fibbers and Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer will conclude Stereo’s night.
The four-day festival was previewed last Friday and began last night with sets by Utah Saints, Anne Marie Hurst, The Chapman Family and The Last Cry.
Tonight’s festival fare includes Terrorvision at The Duchess, Method Cell at Fibbers and Mister Joe Black at Stereo. Tomorrow, The Psychedelic Furs and Red Lorry Yellow Lorry are in action at The Duchess, while EMF will play their Schubert’s Dip album in its entirety at Fibbers.
Steven Severin, of Siouxsie And The Banshees fame, returns to City Screen, York, on Sunday to perform his score at the DV8 Festival screening of Carl Theodor Dreyer’s 1932 psychological horror film Vampyr (PG).
