PATELEY Bridge party punk band Rosie will play Copmanthorpe Carnival’s main stage tomorrow after winning the carnival’s Battle of the Bands 2012.
Rosie defeated Your Illuminations and Playing The Pilot at The Duchess on June 22 when audience members cast their votes.
Copmanthorpe Carnival runs from 12 noon to 6pm tomorrow at Copmanthorpe Recreation Centre, Copmanthorpe.
Yorkie, the York City mascot, will open the event, and among the showground acts will be The Entertainment; Likely Lads; Davey Richmond’s Black Crows; The King’s Parade; Ali & The Beachcombers; Disctracted; York Breakdance; York College Dance Department; The Dance Factory; University of York Cheerleaders; and Limelight Dance Group.
Further attractions at this family day out will be fairground rides; birds of prey; a reptile roadshow; donkey rides; bungee trampolines; a giant assault course; North Yorkshire Sports Olympic Games Sports Tasters; and shopping stalls.
