MICHAEL Nunn and William Trevitt’s dance company BalletBoyz will take to the road in February and March with theTalent, their showcase for blossoming talents.
The show will visit the Grand Opera House, York, on March 12 with a double bill by two leading British choreographers: Liam Scarlett’s Serpent and Russell Maliphant’s Fallen.
This programme first toured to capacity audiences last year with theTalent company of ten male dancers.
“The November tour went brilliantly,” says Michael Nunn, the BalletBoyz co-founder and co-artistic director. “And we’re really delighted that we’ve got more dates for the spring of 2014, going to some favourite stomping grounds and visiting new places.
“In performing these two outstanding works, our fantastic dancers will give audiences the chance to see what brilliant work is being produced by artists in the UK.”
Fellow founder and artistic director William Trevitt sees the 2014 tour as a perfect opportunity to engage with new audiences as well as to perform to BalletBoyz fans around the country. “We’ve got a really strong company in theTalent and in Serpent and Fallen, we have a really interesting double bill that I think appeals to a very wide audience,” he says.
