DANCERS from York Dance Works are getting ready for their annual show at the Barbican on Sunday at 3pm.
Featuring a range of dance styles, the show will by opened by street dance team Relentless and will include ballet pieces from Alice in Wonderland, and a tap dance to Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean.
Dr Who fans are also in for a treat with an appearance from Davros and a Dalek.
Dance Works director Catherine Finta discovered the father of one of her pupils – SP Bowling – is a member of a Dr Who group and makes appearances for charity. She said she was delighted when he agreed to take part in the show.
A raffle will raise money to help send Relentless to the world championships later this year. Tickets cost £12 (£10 for concessions) from York Barbican.
