VIENNA Festival Ballet presents Swan Lake, one of the great love stories, at the Grand Opera House, York, on Wednesday, May 2, at 7.30pm, with lavish costumes, international stars and the glorious music of Tchaikovsky.
The ballet captures like no other the full range of human emotions, from hope to despair, from terror to tenderness, from melancholia to ecstasy.
Vienna Festival Ballet was founded by the Austrian dancer Peter Malleck.
The company tours eight months a year, presenting 200 shows in Britain and touring Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Ireland and France.
Future tours are being planned for Spain and the Far East.
