ACROBATS, dancers, singers and musicians are to transform Sheffield Arena into a magical, multi-sensory world.
Cirque Du Soleil's award-winning Delirium uses holograms, virtual reality, video projections, dance, and theatre.
The show features a 130-ft stage honeycombed with traps and flying rigs so actors can materialise from the depths or float across the sky.
After selling out across the US, the show will arrive here in October to perform in Man-chester (8 and 9) Birmingham (11 and 12) and Sheffield Hallam FM Arena (13 and 14).
Cirque Du Soleil began 20 years ago as a group of penniless street performers in Quebec. Since then, more than 50 million spectators in more 100 cities on four continents have seen their shows.
According to The New York Times, Delirium is: "a full-scale spectacle, with nearly four dozen performers in Cirque's usual array of acrobatic feats and technical razzle-dazzle, eerie tableaus and phantasmagoric costumes."
Delirium was one of the top five grossing US concerts last year.
Phil Bowdery, vice president of touring at Live Nation, said: "Delirium is unlike any show you have ever seen in your life. It's awe inspiring, innovative and breathtaking. This unique form of visual, musical and artistic entertainment pushes the boundaries of what people expect to see in an arena. The show has an enormous wow factor and spectacular style."
