KAOS Theatre's lurid and lasciviously twisted production of The KAOS Dream visits Harrogate Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday in a contemporary, black-humoured take on A Midsummer Night's Dream.
This surreal Shakespearean spectacle plunges the fantastical story of love, betrayal, dreams and reality into an urban underworld.
Shakespeare's characters are brought up to date with a potion-pedalling Puck, a pole-dancing Hermia and a transvestite Titania in a physical theatre show with original live music and song.
The KAOS Dream is KAOS Theatre's 20th production and features Mat Fraser as Puck. Mat is a regular KAOS performer and renowned for his championing of disability arts, most memorably in his own show, Thalidomide! A Musical.
Performances start at 7.30pm on Tuesday; 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday. Tickets: £11 to £15, with concessions available, on 01423 502116.
