ROWNTREE Players will stage Alan Ayckbourn’s How The Other Half Loves at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, York, from May 19 to 22.
Written in 1969, Ayckbourn’s dinner-party comedy depicts three suburban couples linked by the work of the husbands. Fiona and Frank Foster are the executive couple; Bob and Teresa Phillips are attractive and up and coming, although she’s an utter slob and he’s a total bore; and the third pair, William and Mary Featherstone, are socially hopeless and deadly earnest too, alas.
The respective roles in John Hall’s cast go to Steve Tearle and Jeanette Hunter, Martyn Hunter and Clare Horsley and Adam Sowter and Emma O’Connell.
Tickets for the 7.30pm performances cost £9 or £8 on 01904 623568 or 01904 416751.
