UPSTAGE Centre Youth Theatre will stage Malcolm Sircom’s The Rocky Monster Show at 41 Monkgate, York, from Thursday to Saturday.

Performed by Nik Briggs’s cast of eight to 15 year olds, this rock’n’roll musical is billed as a “riotous mix of The Addams Family, Young Frankenstein and The Phantom Of The Opera”.

According to the director: “There’s something for everyone in The Rocky Monster Show: plenty of freaky characters, from Rebecca Shelley to Inspector Baskerville, and Professor Fenton to the 200-year-old servant Igor, as well as the girl group The Superbs and possibly even Elvis.”

Tickets for the three 7.30pm performances and Saturday’s 2.30pm matinee will be available on the door.
