York Theatre Royal and the children’s theatre company Tutti Frutti open a new co-production, Animal Tails, today in The Studio.
Directed by Tutti Frutti artistic director Wendy Harris, the show stars two of this season’s ensemble company at the Theatre Royal, Martin Barrass and Gordon Kane who also are appearing in My Family And Other Animals, now in its last week in the main house.
They will play a pair of comic storytellers in a companion piece inspired by animal stories from around the world.
“Join us as we perform the story of the Little Red Hen and other animal fables while baking fresh bread rolls for our friend’s birthday party,” said Martin.
“It’s going to be messy, hilarious, and you may even learn a bit about baking as you watch,” added Gordon.
Suitable for three year olds and upwards, Animal Tails runs from today until Saturday with performances at 11am and 1.30pm each day.
Tickets are on sale on 01904 623568 or online at yorktheatreroyal.co.uk.
