Upstage Centre Youth Theatre’s Play In Two Weeks project at 41 Monkgate, York, will be held from August 8 to 19 rather than the original dates of July 25 to August 5.
“If you are aged eight to 25 years old, this is your chance to spend two weeks rehearsing a famous Shakespeare play – yet to be chosen – and then perform it to a live audience at the end of the second week,” says director Mel Cook.
“You’ll learn new skills, make new friends, hopefully build in confidence performing, and have of fun. We’d love you to come along.”
Mel, a former assistant director at the Royal Shakespeare Company, will run sessions on weekdays from 9am to 4pm, culminating in a performance on August 19 at 7pm.
The project fee is £120 per participant, with a 50 per cent hardship discount available. To sign up, fill out the registration form that can be found online at upstagecentre.org.uk and email it to info@upstagecentre.org.uk
