FITTON John Walker Passed away peacefully at home on 21st January aged 87 years. Devoted husband of the late Joan, much loved dad to Alison, Helen and Andrew, loving Grandy, father-in-law and brother-in-law. Funeral service to take place at York Crematorium on Tuesday 1st March at 2.20pm. Family flowers only please. All enquiries to J Rymer Funeral Directors tel 01904 624320.

So sorry I was unable to attend Johns funeral, both him and Joan were a ray of sunshine in my troubled childhood, I have seen John on a number of occasions over the last few years and enjoyed our conversations which confirmed what a lovely lovely man he was, so sad he lost his devoted wife Joan at a far too young age but happy they are together again, my condolences to Alison Helen and Andrew, I do hope you realise how lucky you are to have had parent like them, will always be in my thoughts Steve Cockram
