HOLMES Dorothy (Mollie) Muriel Of Acomb, York. 20th August 1924 - 14th May 2022. Wife of Wing Commander Ken Holmes (MBE), mother of Lesley, Keith (and Tineke), grandma of Sven (and Sophia), Rhys (and Fay), Hannah (and Mike), Alex (and Josh) and to her beloved seven great-grandchildren. Mollie passed away peacefully in York Hospital, after a short illness and surrounded by the love of her family. Greatly missed by her family and many friends, she is laid to rest in Coop Funeral Home, Acomb (53 Gale Lane, Acomb). Brief committal service at York Crematorium, Bishopthorpe, at 1.40pm. Service of remembrance and celebration, followed by a reception at Acomb Methodist Church (Front St, Acomb, York) on the 9th of June at 2.30pm. Donations or flowers to Acomb Methodist Church are welcome.
