FINERON Mike Suddenly in York District Hospital on 12th September. Dearly loved husband of Carol and beloved dad of Rob, Rachel and Louise, also much loved grandad of Poppy and Kai. Funeral service to be held at York Crematorium Bishopthorpe on Tuesday 4th October at 12.20pm. Family flowers only please. Donations to York Against Cancer or York Sports (Rugby) Club Shipton Road. Knew Mike from AHGS. I was Queen Anne GS. Came across him on the racecourses in later years with Carole. Always a Gentleman.

Remembering Mike down the Railway Institute teaching us all to play squash and the kiddies road cycling at All Saints School. We will remember him always laughing and smiling with a pint of real Ale in his hand !

Sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. Mike and cousin Dave were my constant AHGS classroom companions in the fifties and I spent several cycle excursions with Mike. Great memories.
