COOK Edith Ada 'Edie' (nee Smith) Passed peacefully in Rowntree Lodge New Earswick on 8th January 2023 aged 93. Loving wife of the late George Valance (Val), Dearly loved mother of Zeta and Valance and a dear mother-in-law to Ian. Dearest sister of Brenda and the late Wilf and Phyl, treasured nanny of Helen and Mark, a much-loved great-grandma to Arthur. A very dear sister-in-law and auntie Funeral service will take place on Wednesday 8th February at St Mary's Church Haxby at 14:00 followed by York Crematorium at 15:40. Family flowers only please. Donations to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, plate provided at St Mary's.
