ASHTON Stephen Taken suddenly on 2nd January 2023 at York Hospital aged 71 after a short fight with cancer. A much loved husband of Sheila, father of Jonathan and Sarah, Steve was well respected and friend of many; he will be dearly missed. A service will be held on Friday 3rd February at 12.30pm at St. Mary's Church, East Cottingwith to say goodbye and give praise and celebration of his life, followed by a shorter service and committal at 2.20pm at York Crematorium. A funeral reception will then be held to share more stories and memories of Steve. Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Steve to St Mary's Church, East Cottingwith and the Bladder Scanner Appeal, Castle Hill Hospital, Hull. A plate will be provided at St Mary's.
