PERRY David (Dave) It is with sadness we announce the passing of David W J Perry, 63, of Haxby York on Thursday 18th May 2023. To remember and celebrate a true gentleman of York a gathering will be held at a later date to be announced. Thankyou Kim and Gwyn.

I was very sad to hear of Dave's death - I wish I'd known, I would very much like to have paid my respects. He was a good friend and a lovely chap, and oh boy didn't he love York... I have lots of his pictures on my computer, including a collection from Durham when we took a train there for the day. Many happy memories, mostly of the Churchill and wandering around York with my mother (he always called her Mum which made me grin). I'm sorry we'd lost touch since his time in hospital, but he is remembered very fondly. RIP, Dave xx

Dave was a friend since I met him in Haxby in 1978 and we remained friends . I last saw him about a year ago when he got on the #5 bus in Huntington to go into town. I think he was carrying a camera that day. I'm sad he's passed away but I'm smiling at the memories I have of him .♡
