HARGRAVE Joan 'Danny' Died 31st August 2023 aged 90 in Alne, peacefully after an illness. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and companion. A former City of York Councillor for 12 years representing Knavesmire ward, she will be missed by all who knew her. A celebration of Joan's life will take place at a later date.Tributes

Sad to hear of Joan's passing. We were elected to the council on the same day and she often referred to us as the 'terrible twins' because of our predilection to rock the boat and to think unconventional thoughts!
She was a real character.
