EDGE Liz Peacefully passed with family around her, on the 29th September 2023, aged 86 years. A much loved mum, nanna, auntie, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by many. A funeral service will be held at York Crematorium on Friday 20th October at 10:20am. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Liz will be for Dementia UK. I worked with Liz in the CPSA/PCS Trade Union and was also a friend of hers. She was dedicated to her job and hated injustice and discrimination. She campaigned tirelessly for working people and successfully won many personal cases on behalf of members, and as such had a wide circle of friends throughout the UK. She was a kind and caring person who was devoted to her children and grandchildren and also enjoyed a good social life, She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. My wife Sylvia, who also knew and respected her send our condolences and best wishes to her family. RIP Liz. Brian and Sylvia Sturtevant.
