MATTHEWS Betty Passed away peacefully on 3rd October 2023, aged 85 years, at York District Hospital, her daughter by her side. Dearly loved Mum of Karen and mother-in-law of Jonathan; loving grandma to Kim and the late, and much missed Martin. As was Mum's wish, a private cremation has been held and our grateful thanks go to Chris Fielder and his team for their compassion and sensitivity with the arrangements, and also to the paramedics, the NHS staff in A&E and on Ward 21 for their help in caring for Mum.
