SMITH Terence Michael With a heavy heart, the family of Terence Michael Smith, Smudge, announce his passing on Thursday 11th January 2024 at the age of 69. Mike will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Elaina, his children, Shaun & Elena, his 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his family. Mike was known as Smudge 843 for the North Yorkshire Police and Underwater Search Team. He served in York for 19 years before he retired. Having retired early due to injury, Mike found himself without much to do. He started volunteering at his youngest daughter's primary school, Dringhouses, which developed into a role as the caretaker there. His funeral service will be held at the York Crematorium at 3pm on Monday 5th February. The wake will be at the Knavesmire Pub afterwards. All are welcome to attend.
