SWEETING Alan Michael Alan, the very loved husband of Sheila, father of James and Michael and grandfather of Lily, Ethan and Oliver, died at home on Sunday 11th February after a hard-fought battle with cancer. His funeral will take place at York Crematorium for family and friends to attend on Tuesday 27th February at 9.40am. Any donations to Macmillan Cancer Care and St Leonards Hospice would be appreciated instead of flowers.Tributes

I have a number of connections with Alan work and otherwise. He was a super friend at Our Celebration and Mind and kept in touch with me long after that. His friendship will never be forgotten and I pass all my good wishes to Sheila and the family.
Alan will long be in my thoughts and may he rest in peace.
