STONEHOUSE George Robert 'George the Butcher' This posting notes the sad passing of the man known across York as 'George the Butcher'. He was known widely and liked by many different people and will be greatly missed. He was a loving husband, father and brother within his family, passing recently following long term ill health. For many years he served as a devoted member of the Butcher's Gild in York. A service to celebrate George's life will be held on Friday 26th July at York crematorium at 3:40. Family flowers only please, donations in memory of George will be for St. Leonard's Hospice & Mulberry Court - Barchester Healthcare. The family request to wear a touch of colour if desired.
