BEAVAN Kenneth John, Maj. (Rtd) Aged 95 yrs. died peacefully at home in Ealing on 8th July 2024. Proud resident of York for over 50 years, dedicated local councillor, enthusiastic golfer and active member of the Royal British Legion. Husband to the late Beatrice, father to Helene, Peter, Alexandra, David, Clare, Kate, Frances and Richard. Grandfather to 10 grandchildren and great grandfather to 3. I shared many good times with Ken when we were both City of York councillors. Lovely man. A man of integrity and principles but who could always understand other political points of view. I have fond memories of Ken and so do many in the City of York
