John Richard JONES

JONES John Richard "House Builder" passed away peacefully on 16h July 2024 at his home in Sand Hutton after a long illness, aged 81 years. Dearly loved Husband of Diane, loving Father of Stephen, Ruth and Howard. Proud Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. The funeral will take place at St. Mary's Church, Sand Hutton on Monday 19th August at 11:30am. Followed by a celebration of John's life at Sandburn Hall. Family flowers only please. When I bought my first property in the early 90's John was working on thebone next door. I got talking to him and kept him refreshed with brews etc. When he finished his job, we spoke and he said he'd done a lot of pointing on my property and other jobs. I knew nothing of this, offering payment John just laughed and said that's for the drinks and hospitality. I didn't know him , but that act of kindness still resonates. RIP John.

Sorry to hear about John one of the best. Go way back to our teen days. Was planning to see him when I visit the UK next month Now sadly not to be. RIP John. Trevor Hainsworth

It was an honour to have John as both a client and friend.

He was always generous, supportive and dependable. I shall miss the lunches out with him.

He spoke it like it is and did not suffer fools lightly.

A fearless champion of individual liberty.

A real character that will be sadly missed by all who new him..

May his memory always be a blessing.
