FISHER Julia Anne (née Greaves) With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Julia Anne Fisher (née Greaves) on 12th September 2024, aged 82. A beloved mother to Anne Elizabeth , James Allan and Julia Gail. Grandmother to Leanne, Pippa and Milly, beloved cousin, and a dear friend to many. Anne will be fondly remembered for her time as a publican alongside her parents, Arthur and Betty Greaves (née Day), who ran several well-known establishments in York, including The Windmill & The Punchbowl on Blossom Street, and The New Inn at Huby. Later, with her then-husband Richard Fisher, she managed The Black Horse Inn, Seaton Ross and The Plough Inn at Saxton. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
