A COMPETITION is being held for children where all entries must be made from recycled items found around the home.
Key Stage 2 pupils are being asked to build a hotrod racing car, a plane or an out-of-this-world spaceship.
The best creations will be in with a chance of winning construction set prizes by Meccano, plus a Super Construction Set prize for their school.
Coun David Levene, cabinet member for environmental services, said: “This competition is a great way of educating children on how simple household items can be reused in a fun and creative way.”
Children have until February 8 to submit entries. To enter upload a digital photograph of the finished creation with a short description to the competition page at junkcraft.com
Full competition details and entry requirements can be found on junkcraft.com/york-schools-competition/
