A TALK about how to protect hedgehogs has been held at York Enviroment Centre.
According to a recent national study, hedgehogs are an endangered species whose numbers have dropped around the UK by 25 per cent in ten years.
The illustrated talk by local hedgehog expert Dr Toni Bunnell discussed how to look after hedgehogs and how to attract them into your garden.
Those who attended were given a close look at hedgehog spines, and learned where hedgehogs like to nest and eat.
