A RECORD-BREAKING line of bunting has gone on show in York.
Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust made history by linking 15,632 pieces stretching for more than 2.3 miles as the finale to the year-long What’s Your Goal? drive, designed to raise awareness of the relationship between mental and physical health.
Residents, schools and businesses, including Poppleton Ousebank Primary School, York City Knights and York City FC, were encouraged to make a piece of bunting representing their aim, with more than 1,000 metres of material being amassed.
It is now being displayed throughout February at the Coppergate Shopping Centre.
Centre manager Deb O’Donnell said: “I’m very pleased we have the facilities to display such wonderful and inspirational art, which looks fantastic, and I hope the bunting and the hard work of the NHS Foundation Trust gets the admiration it deserves.”
