WHAT a crazy world we live in.

No money for life-saving medication, ever increasing pot holes, bins or indeed paying off the country’s trillions of debts, but plenty of money it seems for sheer luxuries like the new Piazza outside the Minster, council staff enjoying trips to Paris or China, millions for the Art Gallery, the Arts Barge and now, the latest benefactor, York Theatre Royal, however deserving cases they all may be.

And to toast the good news only the finest champagne will do. Nowt wrong with Yorkshire tap water!

Please get your priorities right. We all have to tighten our belts, so don’t waste more of our now so precious funds. After all, we are constantly spending money we haven’t got.
