ACOMB Hockey Club men’s II were edged out 1-0 by promotion-chasing Huddersfield Dragons IV in Yorkshire League division six north.
The defeat leaves the Tangerines’ second string in sixth place in the table, a point behind local rivals City of York VII.
Mid-table Acomb I were without a game in division four.
Acomb ladies I saw their game at home to Halifax II postponed in Yorkshire League division three.
