A MAN alleged to have racially abused two students at York Railway Station, before boasting about his actions in a nearby bar, is being hunted by police.
British Transport Police have issued this CCTV image of the man they want to question in connection with the incident, which happened at 8.30pm on Sunday, January 27.
Police Constable Nick Storey, investigating officer said: “The victims, two Arabic students studying in Newcastle, were standing on platform three at the station when they were racially abused by a man. The man then entered Coopers Bar on the station where he is alleged to have boasted of his actions, before being challenged and asked to leave by bar staff.
“We believe that the man may have also been involved in an incident in the Slug & Lettuce bar earlier in the day, where homophobic remarks were made to a group in the pub.”
The man is described as white with a shaved head and was wearing a black jacket, black trousers and black shoes.
