THERE has been a spate of rural thefts near Selby.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said about 60 litres of diesel was siphoned from a Massey Ferguson tractor at a farm in Broad Lane, Cawood.
Thieves also broke into a property in Broadacres, Carlton, in the early hours of yesterday, and stole three laptops, a mobile phone, and the keys to a BMW 3 Series, and made off in the car.
Elsewhere, a catalytic convertor was taken from a Mercedes Sprinter van in Cathcart Close, Whitley, between 6pm on Tuesday and 7am yesterday.
