WITNESSES to a crash in Thirsk have been urged to contact police.
The crash happened at about 5.50pm on Monday, at the junction of Hambleton Drive and Long Street and involved a silver Peugeot and a white Ford Transit van. Neither of the drivers was injured.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said that prior to the incident, the Peugeot had attempted to overtake the Transit and a Mercedes Benz Sprinter van, as they approached the town on the A170, Sutton Road.
A short time after the collision the drivers of all three vehicles were involved in an altercation in Thirsk market place.
Anyone with information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, email neil.cholmondeley@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or phone Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
