DRIVERS and cyclists are being warned a city-centre road improvement scheme will start next week.
The project is designed to improve access and safety for pedestrians walking between St George’s Field car and coach park and the Barbican centre, with improvements being made to the Paragon Street, Fawcett Street and George Street junctions.
Pavements in the area will also be improved and the road layout next to Fishergate Bar changed to make it simpler. The work, which will begin next Wednesday and last between six and eight weeks, would cause some disruption.
