HAMBLETON residents are being urged to use their blue waste bags to recycle more rubbish.
Changes to kerbside collections in the district mean greeting cards and window envelopes can now be placed in the bags alongside newspapers and magazines, catalogues and brochures, leaflets, junk mail and office and shredded paper.
They cannot be used for cardboard, tissue, plastic wrappers and drink cartons.
The blue bags can be collected from Hambleton District Council offices in Northallerton, Stokesley and Easingwold, and more information is available on 0845 1211 555.
